I’m currently on a little academic high: my paper went over very well yesterday (and my advisor was impressed), and I just learned by email that I had another paper accepted to a conference in November.
Sydney, meanwhile, is still recovering from yesterday afternoon, when Katherine apparently wore him out by crying throughout the afternoon. Thankfully, thankfully, thankfully, she has been much better thus far today, and Sydney still likes his daughter–if he’s a bit leery about being left with her again this evening.
Last night, after Sydney took a small nap to recover, we went out on the town . . . to the Whole Foods down the street from our hotel. Our version of a wild night out 🙂 We got some good fruit and salad to stock up our hotel room and Katherine got some interested looks as she slept in her baby carrier.

Overall, sounds like typical baby antics – good as gold, onery as heck. Kudos to Sydney for not tossing her out the hotel window:)I will also presume she did not starve under dad’s care.
Congrats on your presentation!!! Where is the November conference? Hope to talk this weekend.
Okay, so Sydney doesn’t think I made K’s antics sound appropriately horrific. Apparently there was much pooping all over and other such delights.
The conference is in Quebec. 🙂 And we’ll be in NYC until Sunday. But I’ll try to check in!

I have to agree with Sydney… your version just sounded like he was tired from the crying. A whole day of crying and pooping all over him and a bed in a hotel room is a totally different scenario. 🙂
Other than the pooping/crying, I’m glad to hear things are going well!

‘All over’ refers to me and the bed. I can’t say I’m impressed with the disposable diapers we’re using on this trip. Or, rather, I’m very impressed — in a negative sort of way.
