If you think you’re reasonably smart, here’s a simple, little test for you: http://www.philosophersnet.com/games/logic_task.htm. If you feel stupid after taking it, perhaps you can find some comfort in knowing that even logicians do badly at it.

I was correct only one time – further confirming that I have no logical brain cells…
I got 2 right… but I was disappointed that the statistics at the end didn’t work.
I hope the test can’t confirm that someone has no logic abilities! After all, I’d like to think that I have some and I didn’t fare so well on the test. The interesting thing about the test, I think, is that it is really simple in some sense and yet humans do really badly at it. Including humans who are professional logicians. The other interesting thing, of course, is that a problems of exactly the same logical structure trip us up in some cases but not others.
And, yes, the statistics seem not to show up anymore. I’m not sure why — they used to show up.
