We made the most of the gorgeous day by taking Katherine for a hike at Watkins Glen, home of shallow pools, deep gorges, and two places where you walk behind (or, as the erosion continues, underneath) waterfalls. Katherine seemed a bit overwhelemed by the warmth and humidity and slept for much of the day, leaving the two of us to enjoy the hike, eat some great sandwiches on our way back home, and have some quiet time for reading.
