I think there are other ways to reduce the mite population in beds. And the tradeoff – at least in my house – isn’t worth it. An unmade bed makes the whole room look messy. I hate to crawl into bed into a tangle of sheets/covers. I don’t sleep well in a messy bed.
Maybe we should just exfoliate our bodies more often:)
What about starting a fashion of fantastic sheets? Then we could fold back the bedspread to the foot of the bed and let the bed air out. Sheets as the new bedspread, sort of like brown being the new black or whatever?

Actually a GREAT idea! That’s the new ‘hotel bedroom’ look that is the ‘thing’ right now. And they look so fresh and inviting!
But when you come to visit, you will be sleeping between our microfiber sheets – so cozy!
