I have no idea whether this is real or not — I’ve heard that it is, but it stretches the bounds of credulity. But it is in fact the case that the King James Version says ‘any that pisseth against the wall’ and the New International Version says ‘male’. And the Vulgate says ‘mingentem ad parietem’. And I’ll let you guess which version(s) might be the closest to the Hebrew.

    Sad…I briefly listened and learned that this is what’s wrong with America today (who would have thought!). And after a really long work week for me, I pondered the amount of time this minister must have spent on his message when there are so many other things he could have talked about that would surely have been a better use of his time.

    As for his comments about the signs in Germany that prohibited men from standing to urinate…perhaps it was for the simple reason of cleanliness – no splattering, dribbling, drawing pictures, poor aim…
