Several times recently we’ve found Katherine transfixed by something on the carpet–and we’ve only just caught her before she put the ladybug in her mouth. And, I’ll admit, there have been many times when we haven’t caught her in time. With ladybugs appearing all over our apartment in this warmer weather, no amount of vacuuming is enough to keep Katherine from her new hobby. Such good blackmail material for when she’s older . . .

I cannot imagine how her tastebuds tolerate their flavor, if it’s anything like their odor!
We still discuss how my brother used to eat out of the dog’s bowl. The dog used to look upset and follow him around afterward staring like she wanted to ask, “are you going to give my food back now?”
It was when Sydney opened the door to the hallway, where we keep the cat food, that K went from walking to running today. Good thing she tripped. 🙂
