Here’s how we established whose girl Katherine is:

Yes, that’s a big chunk of beet that she’s chewing on. She really liked it. I’m really proud of her.

I thought you said “BEEF” at first. Couldn’t for the life of me figure out why you were so happy.

Me too–I thought maybe Erin had turned you into a carnivore!

I told him that “beet” was not the first thing that came to mind in those pictures . . .

Sydney – is my granddaughter right-handed? If so, she has overcome three generations of genetics in women who are left-handed and right minded:)

Slabs of raw beef as one of the first things to put in a baby’s mouth?? I’m wondering if my parental prudence didn’t just get insulted …

Don’t worry Wanda, I’m sure its just by accident that Katherine is holding the beet in her right hand in this picture!!! I’ll never forget that creepy research paper Erin wrote on left-handedness in high school, complete with cute statistics about our avg. life span being shorter 🙂

Glad to know I made an impression with my scholarship 🙂

Don’t worry – handedness preference doesn’t emerge ’til kids are 2ish. You can keep this a surprise a bit longer. 🙂 -L

    Thank you, Lisa!
